50 Cent Comments On the.LIFE Files EXCLUSIVE Photo!!!!

Wow….no one site should have all this power? MTV caught up with 50 Cent before his second show in two nights in Detroit to ask him about the photo seen around the hip hop world showing him and Jay-Z backstage having a conversation.  Here’s what he had to say to Shaheem Reid about by the photo captured by “The Kodak Man” Lenny S. :

“We got a chance to kick it for a minute.  I know people were interested in what that conversation was like. But they can ask Jay-Z. I take people’s actions as if it’s genuinely how they feel.  I can only use what I saw you do as if that’s what you meant. I can’t understand what your motivation was prior to that.  I had a conversation with Puffy the night before Jay.  He gave me a whole new perspective on his actions. He’s like, ‘I understand the way you felt because of what I was doing at the time. But I wasn’t thinking what you was thinking I was. You done hit me nine times. I’m just in the fetal because I understand why you are attacking me. But if I can’t touch bases with you to tell you what I’m thinking or why I did it, then you can’t understand it.’ We created a little clarity out there.”

Ne-Yo Says T.I. Makes a Lot of Bad Decisions

Ne-Yo says T.I. has had many chances — and it’s time he gets his act together.
After T.I. was arrested in a drug case, Ne-Yo called him one of the smartest people in the music industry.

“I just feel that he makes a lot of poor decisions when it comes to the people that he surrounds himself with,” Ne-Yo told The Associated Press in an interview Thursday night.

T.I. was taken into custody Wednesday with his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle on suspicion of possessing methamphetamines after police pulled over their Maybach in West Hollywood. They were released on $10,000 bail Thursday.

The arrest occurred while T.I. is on three years probation in a weapons case.
Ne-Yo said he’s not familiar with the company T.I. surrounds himself with, but “nine times out of 10 when he gets in trouble, it’s not him, it’s the people that he’s with.”

T.I. was poised to have a major comeback.

He stars in the nation’s No. 1 movie, the heist thriller “Takers,” recently married his longtime girlfriend and was wrapping up a new album. But now there are questions about whether he’s returning to the music charts — or prison.

Ne-Yo says it’s time for the multiplatinum rapper to get his life together.

“You’ve been given a bunch of different chances,” Ne-Yo said. “Now is the time to really go, you know I get it, all right, I get it.”

Khloe Kardashian Has A Message For You

Well maybe not for you, but the tallest tree in the Kardashian bunch has some words for her fans who hate her because they’re really the same people. Got it?

I am a little confused as to why people who “hate” me so much follow my every move and know every last thing about me (whether it’s fact or fiction). It’s funny to me how these so called “haters” can sit behind a computer screen and all of a sudden have courage. Have hate pouring out of them through their fingertips. Whether you’re a hate blogger, a writer who only seems to say the worst about an individual, or someone who leaves hateful comments — no matter which of these categories of “hater” you fall under, I most likely have seen many of you in person before and you have never said these things to my face. This is because you are a coward. You don’t have the guts. You are the ones that when we come face to face can only stutter compliments. People are entitled to their opinions. I am completely for freedom of speech. But that doesn’t mean you do it hatefully. I definitely don’t agree with a lot of things but I don’t hate. I don’t send hate mail.

Whether you love me or hate me, I just want to say thank you! Thank you for the ratings you give me on BOTH of my TV shows because based on the comments you leave on my page, it’s clear that you watch. And some of you even watch enough to be able to quote me. Wow! Thank you for that! Thank you for buying all of the magazines I’m in, because I read your comments based on rumors that only you would know if you have read these ridiculous lies. Thank you!

You, “my hater”, are giving me more sales :) I also wanted to say thank you for giving me hits on my website. Leaving me comments only are adding to the amount of hits I receive each month. “I find it embarrassing that adults are like, ‘Taylor Swift is very talented.’ She’s not. Jay-Z hit the stage tonight at the Comerica Park stadium for one of two shows with fellow hip-hop titan Eminem.  Jay-Z brought Young Jeezy and Bridget Kelly out for some cuts and also performed “Free Mason” without Rozay.  Eminem closed the show bringing out D-12, B.o.B, Dre. Dre and 50 Cent.

Katy Perry Says Tupac Is Rolling Over In His Grave Because Of The “Empire State Of Mind” Song

Katy Perry has said that she wrote her latest hit ‘California Gurls’ as a response to Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’s glorification of New York.

The singer told MTV News that after she heard Jay-Z and Keys’s track ‘Empire State Of Mind’, she felt that California needed a similar tribute.

“When I came up with the idea of ‘California Gurls’, it was because I was a little bit jealous of all the love that was given to the East Coast, and I thought for sure Tupac was rolling in his grave, and the Beach Boys, Brian Wilson was totally upset.”

Perry added that she wanted to create a song that captured the idealised image of the Golden State’s famously beautiful women.

“[California girls] are different. That’s why there needed to be a song about them,” said the ‘I Kissed A Girl’ popstar. ”I felt like there’s something in the water. Like, you know the boys always dream about maybe dating a California girl, just because we’ve got the sun shining through 365 days a year.”

Providing a female take on California’s iconic imagery was also important to the star.

“I thought it would be perfect timing for a California anthem, and especially one from a female perspective, because there’s never really ever been a female perspective about California.”

Perry’s latest album Teenage Dream will be released on August 24.

Steve Stoute Talks The “Tanning Of America” In TIME Magazine!

Check out this new interview with marketing genius Steve Stoute where he talks about some of his latest endeavors and how the culture of America is changing for TIME magazine.

On Mary J. Blige:

Stoute’s ability to engage consumers with his clients’ messages was on full display when Mary J. Blige debuted her new perfume, My Life, on the Home Shopping Network July 31 to record-breaking sales. The fragrance sold 60,000 units in six hours. According to the network, it also drove 20% of new customers to HSN. While the numbers were remarkable, so was the fact that buyers hadn’t even had a chance to sample the fragrance. Rather, Stoute had gotten Blige to create a series of online video vignettes so customers could connect with her. He calls the perfume “Mary’s life encapsulated in a product.” The marketing came down to the power of storytelling, says Stoute. “I put Mary on air and let her speak her story, her life, her journey and showed footage of her being part of the process of making the fragrance. It was a grand slam.”

On The Tanning Of America:

what he calls “the tanning of America.” The growing African-American, Hispanic and Asian-American populations together command an estimated $2 trillion in buying power. And they have become hugely influential trendsetters. Demographers know this, but Stoute sees the shift as a massive cultural transformation that most companies are missing.

According to Stoute, this seismic shift has ushered in an era of shared cultural tastes and attitudes. The tanning concept, he says, is built around not the physical reality of different racial makeups but rather what he calls “a shared mental complexion.” To make a brand relevant, companies need to understand that multicultural advertising is no longer a niche strategy: multicultural is what America looks like. “One of the things that made me realize right away that Steve was an innovative thinker was when I heard him talking about the tanning of America,” says Pamela El, marketing vice president of State Farm. “He said that advertisers and marketers need to follow the lay of the land, and the face of America is changing.” Stoute took LeBron James to State Farm, managing to make King James both relevant and funny in ads for insurance.
